Really great fine dining restaurant. Went with the Chef's menu Wine & Dine and all the 3 courses were excellent. The service was attentive and friendly. Location is also a big plus. I only have good things to say about this place, will be going back soon.

Went there on a Thursday for their wine dinner. We both started with the pea soup which was very good. I then had their flatiron steak and my wife cioppino. The steak was good—not the best I have had but a nice steak. My wife’s dish was excellent. We then enjoyed the lava cake. A great dinner for a great price. We will be back.

I meant to review sooner, but we were here at the beginning of May to celebrate our three year anniversary. Francesca was our server and she was PHENOMENAL. We were seated in an area that was more private, which was very much appreciated. The specials that day were scrumptious; we ordered nearly everything on the special menu and were not disappointed! We got a free dessert to share, complete with a candle; it was one of the regular menu items (apple pie a la mode) and incredibly delicious. I took photos but Google is being difficult and won't upload... so you'll just have to believe me when I say the presentation was top notch and the restaurant was beautiful. The quality of the food was very much worth the prices, and the creativity of the specials was so uniquely tasty. I can't wait to come back here for another special occasion, or just because. It's truly incredible.

I had the pleasure treating my mom to a birthday dinner at Prairie Star restaurant in Bernalillo, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hospitality and service provided by Francesca and Felicia were simply outstanding. They made the evening feel warm and welcoming from start to finish. I tried the Pan Roasted Mediterranean Branzino with arugula pesto couscous, citrus sauteed carrots & peas, and lobster-saffron veloute. The combination of flavors was exquisite, and the Branzino was cooked to perfection. Although she wanted a filet, she opted for the 14oz ribeye, and it was tender and juicy, served with bacon & cream smashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, foie gras butter, and roasted garlic demi-Glace, because they don't offer a filet, but do offer prime rib, in Fridays, and a sirloin & shrimp entree. Each element on the plate was carefully prepared and blended harmoniously to create a mouthwatering dish. Dessert was a real treat. The Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake with salted caramel and port wine gastrique was a chocolate lover's dream, and the special pumpkin cream tart added a delightful seasonal touch. What truly set the Prairie Star restaurant apart was the breathtaking view of Sandia Mountain. The unobstructed, gorgeous scenery during sunset made the evening even more magical. I'd recommend taking selfies early before the sun dips too low or any clouds block the mountain's beautifully illuminated vista. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to enjoy a fantastic patio breakfast during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with such a picturesque backdrop. Prairie Star is a culinary gem that combines excellent food, exceptional service, and a stunning setting for a memorable dining experience.

My wife savored every moment of her birthday dinner, delighting in the delicious spread that surrounded her. The highlight of the evening was the warm apple pie, bursting with flavor and topped with a scoop of creamy ice cream—just the way she loves it! It was a celebration filled with laughter and joy, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Whether you are high class or middle this is the place to enjoy fine dining at a GREAT PRICE . Not only was the service and atmosphere wonderful but the food was made with love. The bottle of wine included on the WED/THURS Menu was great quality. We will definitely be going regularly now !

This was a great wine and dine experience with great views at a very reasonable price. Food was tasty and so was the wine, we had a bad experience at our last "chefs choice" adventure that cost us 3x as much money. You really can't beat the view at this place and each course was something new and exciting exactly what a three course meal should be. The tall older gentleman that greeted us at the door was very unpleasant and snarky like our presence inconvenienced him. But our server was fantastic and we will definitely return for more in the future.
